Step 1. | Curl the ends of your hair to add volume and texture.
Step 2. | Take a small section in the back and use a teasing comb to gently tease (creating subtle volume). This will add to the simple and messy look in the end.
Step 3. | Gently massage the teased area of hair to slightly break up and knots; blending the teased section with the remainder of your hair to create a more natural look.
Step 4. | Take a section (about an inch thick) from the left side of your hairline, twist in the direction away from your face, and wrap around to the right side. Next, secure this section with a bobby pin.
Step 5. | Gently pull out small strands within the twisted section to create more separation and volume.
Step 6. | Follow step #4 but start on your right side this time. Your twisted strand should wrap from right to left and be secured with a bobby pin.
Step 7. | Repeat step #4.
Step 8. | Repeat step #6.
Step 9. | Lastly, add in some personal flare! We chose to finish off the look with a tortoise hair clip and ribbon for a fun and elegant look.
